The Responsibility pillar is focused on decarbonisation and resource use. We take responsibility for the emissions of our hotel property portfolio, one of the largest in the UK, and work hard to achieve our net zero target. We also reduce our footprint by conserving water and minimising waste, and improve social outcomes via responsible sourcing.
* By ‘low-carbon’ we mean that the hotels are powered by electricity backed by Renewable Energy Guarantees of Origin (REGO) and no gas or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is used for water and space heating and cooking. CDP is a widely recognised standard that focuses on collating information on our commitment to reducing our impact on the environment. We currently score a B in the climate change and water, highlighting that we are managing our climate and water risk.
