Fancy a Bank Holiday mini-break? Premier Inn opens hotels in Wales in time for THIS WEEKEND

Premier Inn is opening 29 of its hotels in Wales – just in time for the long Bank Holiday weekend. In line with government guidance, the hotels are open for Welsh residents only.

At the moment, it is just the hotels-only which are set to reopen, ahead of a full opening of all its Welsh hotels and restaurants – meaning people have to wait a little bit longer to enjoy the famous Premier Inn breakfast.

News of the openings is likely to be welcomed by Welsh people looking to enjoy a break over the long weekend, especially those who have been missing a comfy sleep in Premier Inn’s luxury beds.

Hotels open and bookable by Welsh travellers in time for Easter weekend include Aberystwyth, Bangor, Barry, Bridgend and Cardiff.

Managing Director Simon Ewins said: “It’s safe to say that for many people who have been unable to enjoy a break for so long, the possibility of a night in a hotel can’t come soon enough so we’re absolutely thrilled to be opening our doors to Welsh guests just in time for the long Bank Holiday weekend. Our teams have been training hard to get ready for reopening and are excited to give guests our famously warm Welsh welcome”.

Premier Inn has always operated stringent hygiene standards at every stage from check-in to check-out, and Premier Inn CleanProtect now further enhances these standards in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Developed with suppliers including global cleaning and hygiene product supplier Diversey, the new procedures are in line with both World Health Organisation and the European Centre for Disease Control recommendations, as well as UK government guidance.
