Premier Inn tops Which? hotel chain survey for second year running

26 Oct 2016 Sustainability

UK’s leading hotel chain also retains Which? Recommended Provider Status

Premier Inn has today been named the UK’s top-rated hotel chain for a second consecutive year, having once again achieved the highest score in the annual Which? Hotel Chain Survey.

The hotel chain, which has over 740 sites and 60,000 rooms across the UK, was recognised for providing a “first class experience” at “very competitive prices”.

Which? members were asked to rate the key factors that contribute to making a hotel chain the best in the UK including value for money, bedrooms, bathrooms, cleanliness, bed comfort and whether descriptions met reality.

As well as topping the hotel chain league table, the Premier Inn team has also retained its prestigious Which? Recommended Providerstatus. This mark of excellence publicly recognises Premier Inn as best in class and is only awarded to the very best services and providers by Which?.

Both accolades come after a year of continued growth for Premier Inn which has seen the opening of many new sites across the country and the creation of hundreds of new jobs and apprenticeships.

Simon Jones, Managing Director of Premier Inn, said:

“We are delighted that Which? has awarded Premier Inn the accolade of the UK’s top-rated hotel chain for a second year. This recognition means an enormous amount to us. Every day I see our team members putting their energy and talent into making Premier Inn the best it can be and I’m so pleased that their contribution has been acknowledged at such a high level once again.

“Premier Inn is a growing company within an expanding industry. Maintaining very high standards in this context is something we have worked hard to achieve, through world-class training and listening closely to the needs of our guests whose expectations are always increasing.”

Richard Headland, Editor of Which?, said:

“Our survey found that you can get a good night’s sleep at a top scoring chain for a reasonable cost and shows when it comes to UK hotels, you don’t necessarily get higher standards for higher prices.”
