Our approach
As the UK’s leading hospitality company with over 2,200 outlets here in the UK, serving 19 million customers a month, and operations in 28 countries across the world, we understand the need to incorporate environmental, social and ethical, concerns into the heart of our brands, business operations and core strategies.
In 2009, when we launched Good Together, we identified our key focus areas and set ourselves targets against these. You can see how we did on our Target and Progress page. This year, we have more closely aligned our programme to our business model and have 3 clear pillars of activity: Team & Community, Customer Wellbeing and Environment. We have clear commitments and targets as a group and each business has developed a programme which addresses the material risks and opportunities within their operation
To help drive Good Together, we set public performance targets relating to key areas of the programme such as carbon emissions, team member development, responsible sourcing and supporting communities. This report includes both our progress against these original targets and sets out our new 5-Year targets which are more stretching and demonstrate our commitment to continue to drive sustainable performance across the whole of our business.
