As soon as you join Costa , your learning journey will begin. Our training has one clearly defined purpose globally and regardless of where in the world you will be based, you will receive the same high quality training and development you require to be the best you can be.
Whether you are a new employee joining Costa or an existing employee about to to open a brand new store, whether you’re based in the Support Centre, Wholesale or Operations and through to every Line Manager, right up to the Managing Director, every member of the Costa team will be given the skills training they need.
To master our way of serving a great cup of coffee, we have numerous dedicated Coffee Training Academy's across the world, managed by our Core Skills Trainers who are proven experts in the art of Coffee making.
To give you an example of what we mean when we say we deliver a consistent quality and level of training, we are able to move a barista from Beijing to Birmingham, from Delhi to Dubai and regardless if its a new or existing market they're moving to, they would continue to give our customers an unbeatable coffee experience.
We also use our academies to run the various other parts of Costa’s worldwide Learning and Development programme, all of which are geared towards investing in our people wherever their career with us leads.
We celebrate the success of our people and their skills. For instance, our annual "Barista of the Year" competition culminates in a Champion of Champions final at the Costa Roastery in London.
