Whitbread PLC has today announced the appointment of Chris Kennedy as a Non-Executive Director.
A qualified accountant and experienced financial executive, Chris Kennedy, 51, is Chief Financial Officer of ARM Holdings plc, which he joined in September 2015. Prior to that Chris was Group Finance Director of easyJet plc for five years, having previously spent 17 years in a variety of senior roles at EMI Group Limited.
Chris's appointment will be effective from 1 March 2016. It is intended that Chris will take over from Simon Melliss as Chairman of the Audit Committee from 1 October 2016, who will then step down from the Board, having completed nine years service.

Chris Kennedy has advised that there are no details to disclose in accordance with paragraph 9.6.13(2) - (6) of the Listing Rules.
